4 Ways to Entertain Your Cat

Entertaining a dog is pretty easy. You can just toss a ball or even speak in a high voice to get a pooch excited. Keeping cats amused can be a little trickier, as cats can be pickier and become more easily distracted than their canine pet counterparts.

Some cats get carried away and may claw or scratch when you play.

3. Invest in Cat Toys. Head to the pet store or shop online and you’ll find hundreds of different toys made especially for cats. From stuffed mice to peacock feathers to balls with bells, these toys appeal to cats of all ages. Many cats end up preferring one type of toy to another. That’s why it’s a great idea to purchase an assortment or variety pack of toys to get started and then experiment to see what your kitty likes.

4. Go High Tech. Laser pointers and remote control toys can be plenty of fun for cats to chase. There are even mobile apps, DVDs and Blu-Rays that are designed to entertain cats.
